About Me
Currently holds the position of Post-Doctoral fellow at the Sleep and Pain Laboratory coordinated by Professor Dr. Alban Latremoliere, Department of Neurosurgery, Neurosurgery Pain Research Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD, USA.
Previously, he also carried out doctoral research at Laboratory of Behavioral Pharmacology at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, under supervision of Professor Dr. Elaine Gavioli (UFRN, 2019 - 2022). Master and PhD degree in Psychobiology from the UFRN (2015 and 2018, respectively). He held a sandwich doctorate at Università degli Studi di Ferrara, Ferrara, Italy, under the guidance of Professor Dr. Girolamo Calo` (2017-2018). He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Experimental Pharmacology and Therapeutics (SBFTE) and Brazilian Society of Neurosciences and Behavior (SBNeC).
He is engaged in projects aiming to establish the mechanism underlie the interaction between sleep disturbance a pain. Before, He had developed focus on behavioral disorders as anxiety and depression trying to identify the rule of Nociceptin/OrphaninFQ - NOP receptor system on development or not of susceptible/resilient phenotype after stress situation.
